WARNING: Do not flash iBasso DX200’s Oreo Purist ROM on iBasso DX150 device

iBasso released DX150 Oreo Beta ROM today and some people tried to get Purist ROM from DX200 working on DX150 device. Both device may look similar with the same Rockchip processor but they different kernel and probably different implementation of some parts too.

Flashing DX200’s Purist ROM on DX150’s Oreo beta ROM will not work and it may even damage DX150 device. Right now I don’t have DX150 with me. It’s already sold to fellow audiophile in Thailand but I’ll try to get another unit soon so stay tuned. 🙂

iBasso DX150 Purist ROM version 2.11.293 released!

Fidelizer - PerfectDynamics Sound Optimizations

DX150 Firmware version 2.1.293 was released on 1st September 2018 and now Fidelizer Purist ROM version is here. This time I also tested with real device to make sure everything works fine before releasing.

Last version had strange issues and I had to buy real device to test and fix it despite having only few customers but it’s my responsibility to make sure to resolve the case promptly so please consider upgrading if you like free version.

iBasso DX150 Enhanced/Advanced ROM fix for version 2.10.275 is ready

Fidelizer - PerfectDynamics Sound Optimizations

After releasing Fidelizer Purist ROM for iBasso DX150 version 2.10.275, some Advanced ROM users reported the issue about ROM failing to boot properly. It appeared iBasso made some adjustments in kernel and changes I applied on DX150 ROM version 2.9.250 didn’t work anymore.

I also tried revising optimizations based on iBasso DX200 V2 ROM but it still caused boot issue. As a result, I ordered another DX150 unit for ROM testing purposes. This requires immediate attention to resolve the case for customers so you can be sure Purist ROM will work fine.

Now I’ve delivered ROM updates to all clients who requested ROM update for iBasso DX150. If you still haven’t received yours yet, you can request for new ROM through our contact channels and happy listening. 🙂

iBasso DX150 Purist ROM version 2.10.275 released!

Fidelizer - PerfectDynamics Sound Optimizations

Hi. After working constantly on Fiio ROM updates, there’s also DX150 release for ROM version 2.10.275 too. Now DX150 Purist ROM update is ready to install with some new adjustments and improvements based on recent Fiio updates.

Right now I’m working on proper DX200 ROM update. They seem to make some major changes in kernel and changes I usually apply didn’t work on DX200 2.9. First release has issues with some cases in Mango but that’ll be fixed soon.

I posted about finishing PerfectDynamics 2.0 before attending Munich Show before. There were some progress but it’s still not considered as ready for PerfectDynamics 2.0. So I’ll release bugs fixing version instead.

As some people reported about random stability issues, I later find out that some native apps are relying on debugger and log services for I/O exception handling. Removing those services will result error beyond handling and cause system reboot.

These symptoms doesn’t happen with everyone so if you’re using Enhanced / Advanced ROM without any issue, you won’t need this update. If you have some issues that doesn’t happen with free Purist ROM, you can ask me for sending new ROM update.
