After releasing iBasso DX200 Purist ROM 2.9.209 V2, a new version came up a day later fixing issue I tried to resolve for a long time. It looks like this also happen to iBasso DX150 ROM version 2.10.275 too so you can try the same trick to fix it also.

As I spent time in last few days fixing reported bugs with iBasso DX150 ROM update, now I’ve finished iBasso DX200 ROM version 2.10.215 for Fidelizer Purist ROM version. Enjoy. 🙂

Installation Guide

1. Download Factory Tool provided by Paul http://www.ibasso.com/uploadfiles/download/FactoryTool_v1.39_DX200.zip
2. Turn off DX200
3. Connect DX200 with USB connection to computer while holding play button switch
4. Install Rockchip USB driver included in FactoryTool
5. Open FactoryTool.exe and flash ROM according to instructions provided in DX200 batch tool instruction.doc

Optional (If your DX200 still has performance issues)

1. Flash factory image version 2.1.94 with FactoryTool
2. Scan music and confirm it works fine
3. Flash Fidelizer Purist ROM with FactoryTool again

After releasing Fidelizer Purist ROM for iBasso DX150 version 2.10.275, some Advanced ROM users reported the issue about ROM failing to boot properly. It appeared iBasso made some adjustments in kernel and changes I applied on DX150 ROM version 2.9.250 didn’t work anymore.

I also tried revising optimizations based on iBasso DX200 V2 ROM but it still caused boot issue. As a result, I ordered another DX150 unit for ROM testing purposes. This requires immediate attention to resolve the case for customers so you can be sure Purist ROM will work fine.

Now I’ve delivered ROM updates to all clients who requested ROM update for iBasso DX150. If you still haven’t received yours yet, you can request for new ROM through our contact channels and happy listening. 🙂

 

 

First of all, I’d like to inform you that there’s new changes in kernel version 2.9 that made some usual optimizations I put on didn’t work anymore. I made some adjustments to fix this issue and released it with testing from my environment.

However, some cases like Samsung 256GB micro SD card having massive collection like 20,000 songs won’t work smoothly. With help from understanding clients who tested my ROM and loan his unit for testing, I can finally make a stable release.

In this release, I’ll also add instructions to flash factory image version 2.1.94 and wiping data too. You can skip optional steps if you don’t have any issue.

Hi. After working constantly on Fiio ROM updates, there’s also DX150 release for ROM version 2.10.275 too. Now DX150 Purist ROM update is ready to install with some new adjustments and improvements based on recent Fiio updates.

Right now I’m working on proper DX200 ROM update. They seem to make some major changes in kernel and changes I usually apply didn’t work on DX200 2.9. First release has issues with some cases in Mango but that’ll be fixed soon.
