EtherStream - Modification

 

This year I decided to slow things down and focus more on fulfilling my passion of music. I finally made a solution that can truly enjoy streaming as I hoped for. EtherStream Network Switch is a modified Cisco SG110D-08 network switch with the following modification:

-Input capacitor upgraded with high capacitance and low impedance tuned for optimal performance
-Safety resistors upgraded with high power from Vishay Dale on DC input stage, power regulation stage, and isolation transformer stage
-Re-energize power supply with special tantalum capacitors to reducing noise and interference in processor chip effectively
-Crystal clock is upgraded with high quality clock from Japan with noise reduction tweaks
-Components are soldered with high quality solder providing solid bass and dynamics

Fidelizer - PerfectDynamics Sound Optimizations 2.0

 

For new users, please read about PerfectDynamics 2.0 Sound Optimizations first for new improvements with Fidelizer ROMs.

 

Since DX160 hit the market, I received a few inquiries about making Purist ROM for iBasso DX160 and today I’ve finished the first Purist ROM for iBasso DX160. I’ll release DX220 ported version with Mango OS later.

 

-Based on firmware version Oreo 8.1 V1.01.084
–Yalp Store is added as Play Store’s alternative (I still keep Google services for those who want to install Play Store through other means)
-Apollo – Fidelity Edition from https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/apollo-music-player-fidelity-edition-t3038629 included
-MangoPlayer app has optimizations applied
-build.prop tweaks for better video and storage performance and improve battery life
-Audio engine optimized for only audio playback (EQ/Gaplass features work)

Installation Guide

1. Install Rockchip USB driver included in AndroidTool and make sure it shows ‘Found One ADB device’ in AndroidTool software
2. After successfully flashing official ROM, go to Settings > System > About tablet and tap “Build number” for 7 times to enable “Developer options”
3. Tap back arrow to enter “Developer options”, enable “USB debugging”, and press OK
4. Connect DX160 to computer with USB connection in Android mode again and press OK to allow USB debugging
5. Download Disable Verity package and run disable_verity.bat file (You may need to authorize USB debugging and run disable verity again if not reboot)
6. After DX160 boots up properly with Verity disabled, turn off device and connect with USB connection to computer while holding play button
7. Open AndroidTool, click on “Upgrade Firmware” tab, click on Firmware button and select update.img extracted from Purist ROM then click Upgrade

Fidelizer 8.5 released – Improved compatibility with AIMP/AlbumPlayer/Amarra/Audirvana/MusicBee/Winamp and Windows 10 May 2019 Update

Hi. Since releasing version 8.4, I’ve been very busy with a lot of product research and development projects while maintaining Purist ROM updates. Now I finally have time to maintain Fidelizer updates for next release.

Version 8.5 will now support AIMP/AlbumPlayer/Amarra/Audirvana/MusicBee/Winamp software. Plus and Pro version will handle new services added from Windows 10 May 2019 Update too.

After fixing reported bugs after each big update, I can finally keep up with program compatibility and Windows updates on this release. I’ll launch some major new products soon and they’ll be game changer improvements for audiophiles. 🙂

Fidelizer Plus/Pro users should be received a mail about update and download link by now. If you somehow didn’t receive an update notification as I received some delivery failure message too, please contact me for an update with your customer data to verify.

 

After publishing Fidelizer update, I’ll focus on updating portable products project a bit so expect something good for portable audio soon. 🙂

Hi. The DX150 Purist ROM from iBasso DX220 port is here. I’m glad I finish this before visiting my parents. I wonder if new Mango from DX160 will be newer than DX220. 🙂
